Building the Infrastructure
of Truth
AKTI SURVEY is a Bangladesh-focused survey platform that combines trusted volunteer networks, rigorous methodology, and locally-relevant datasets to produce data you can actually believe.
Everyone Has Opinions.
Nobody Has Data.
Conversations about Bangladesh—whether in Dhaka tea stalls or diaspora living rooms—too often begin with the same uncertain phrase: "I heard that..."
Anecdote dressed up as analysis. Opinion masquerading as fact. Without reliable data, decisions about business, policy, and community are made in the dark.
Global survey tools like Google Forms and SurveyMonkey were built for audiences who think in zip codes and states. Bangladesh thinks in divisions, districts, upazilas, unions, and wards. It thinks in Bangla. None of this exists in Silicon Valley's dropdown menus.
The Selection Bias Problem
Online surveys capture mostly Dhaka-based, English-speaking, smartphone-owning urbanites
Missing the Real Bangladesh
Rural populations, garment workers, farmers, and fishermen are systematically excluded
A Different Approach to Data
Instead of broadcasting surveys to the internet and hoping for the best, we built a system of trusted humans—verified, accountable, incentivized to reach everyone.
Trusted Networks
Verified coordinators with trust scores that decay through tiers. Every link in the chain has accountability and reputation at stake.
Diversity Over Volume
Rewards are based on coverage breadth, not response counts. Twenty diverse surveys outrank a hundred homogeneous ones.
Cross-Validation
Statistical algorithms compare results across coordinators in the same area, detecting fraud and ensuring data integrity.
GTPS-CV
Geo-Trust Progressive Sampling with Cross-Validation
A production-ready methodology designed to produce representative, manipulation-resistant data through structured sampling protocols and statistical weighting frameworks.
Read the full methodologyTrust Hierarchy
Anchor coordinators (Trust: 100) recruit sub-coordinators, who recruit field agents. Trust decays 15% per tier.
Geo-Clusters
Every response captures GPS coordinates + situational context (mosque, bus stop, market) + urban/rural classification.
Demo-Clusters
Four demographic attributes: gender, age bracket, occupation category, and income level—calibrated for Bangladesh.
Diversity Scoring
Combined Diversity Score (CDS) rewards unique cluster coverage. Point decay discourages repetition from the same cluster.
What We Believe
Core principles that guide everything we build
Trust Earned, Not Assumed
Trust scores are earned through consistent performance, not granted by title or position. Everyone proves themselves through their work.
Geographic Diversity as Quality
We treat geographic spread as a signal of data quality. Concentration in one area is a red flag, not a triumph.
Editorial Independence
Sponsors fund the search for truth, but they don't get to define what truth looks like. Methodology remains under platform control.
Open Data for Public Good
Public surveys generate public statistics. We believe Bangladesh benefits when reliable data is openly available to everyone.
Built for Everyone Who Cares About Bangladesh
Researchers
Academic and market researchers seeking representative Bangladesh data
Diaspora
Bangladeshis abroad wanting to understand their homeland with real data
Entrepreneurs
Businesses and startups validating ideas with authentic market feedback
Youth Volunteers
Students and young people earning rewards while contributing to public knowledge
Built by AKTIFUL
AKTI SURVEY is a project of AKTIFUL, a social enterprise founded by Bangladeshi-Americans who understand the frustration of trying to comprehend their homeland from afar.
We believe the Bangladeshi diaspora—and Bangladesh itself—deserves better than WhatsApp rumors and newspaper headlines. We're building the infrastructure to make data-driven understanding possible.
Our Mission
To encourage everyone to be more data-centric and not form opinions on anecdotal information that often becomes talking points in conversations involving both private and public affairs of Bangladesh and Bangladeshis.
